BUSINESS EVENTS
The Mayor's Commission on Women's Issues and the Department of Small
Business Services has extended the filing date for the New York
City Small Business Awards. Enter today to win awards of up to $30,000 to
support your business and to win business development opportunities.

311 for more information. Applications will be accepted through November
15, 2004.
The New York
Skilled Manufacturing Resource Training [SMART] Program
is offering a grant that will provide up to $50,000 to manufacturers
employing fewer than 100 workers. The program's goal is to create
new jobs and upgrade skills for workers at manufacturing companies
in New York State. To qualify, companies must have at least one
physical location in NY State when they submit their application.
Businesses
are encouraged to apply; "training providers" and "consultants" can not fill
out the application. Applications are being accepted until June
