The Bronx Council provides a variety of economic development and community services in a target area comprised of Fordham/University Heights and Kingsbridge/Bedford. Through its Small Business Development Program, the Council assists existing businesses and entrepreneurs in dealing with government agencies and applying for loans. The Council plans to offer technical training workshops on issues such as establishing credit. It also administers a character-based revolving loan fund providing loans from $2,000 to $20,000.
