| East Williamsburg In-Place Industrial Park (EWIPIP)

Part of the North Brooklyn Empire Zone program, the East Williamsburg IPIP is a city designated industrial park administered by the East Williamsburg Valley Industrial Development Corporation [EWVIDCO]. The Park is bounded by the BQE on the north, Bushwick Avenue on the west, Flushing Avenue on the south and Newtown Creek on the east. It is home to companies in diverse industries such as metal finishing and fabrication, food processing and distribution, electrical components, garment, woodworking, printing, as well as wholesale distribution and warehousing, totalling approximately 500 small- to medium-size companies employing 15,000 or more individuals. Occupying 650 acres covering 150 city blocks, the East Willliamsburg In-Place Industrial Park offers workspaces with large floor plates, high ceilings, floors with heavy load capacity, and partial floors with room for expansion. Rents are competitive at $7.00 to $12.00 per square foot. Buildings range from 1,000 to 125,000 square feet. The EWVIDCO offers the following services to businesses located in the IPIP: area maintenance; ombudsman services; security; real estate; financing; business expansion assistance; and employment.
