Supported by the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone and the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Business Resource & Investment Service Center [BRISC] serves as a One Stop Capital Shop to provide access to capital and technical assistance to small business owners and entrepreneurs located in Central, East, and West Harlem, and the Washington Heights and Inwood communities. BRISC provides a range of business services and technical assistance, including loans from $25,000 to $200,000 to qualified applicants. BRISC also offers assistance in obtaining financing from other financial institutions. BRISC provides needs assessment services; counseling services; an ongoing program of small business seminars and technical assistance workshops.
