| Bronx Empowerment Zone Business Assistance Initiative & Revolving Loan Fund

The Initiative provides financing to businesses operating within the Bronx Empowerment Zone and / or employing residents of the Zone. The Zone includes Hunts Point, Port Morris, Mott Haven, and Highbridge. The Initiative focuses on job creation, the retention of permanent private sector jobs, and business opportunities for Bronx Empowerment Zone residents. The Initiative targets for-profit businesses and not-for-profit corporations. Start-ups are also eligible. Loans are available for land acquisition, construction or renovation of facilities, purchase of machinery and equipment, and working capital. Contact the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation for eligibility requirements. Loan range is: $50,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 and interest rates are below market. Per the Revolving loan Fund, the maximum is $200,000.
